About

As a group, our core strength comes from African Soft Power itself. Estimates show that Africa will be home to 25% of the world’s population by 2050, and we know that the creative, digital, and knowledge economies emerging today, represent the best opportunities for generating future growth for our young people. We also know that in addition to stimulating direct growth, these industries have the broader power to win hearts and minds, and through them, we seek to communicate modern Africa more accurately on the world stage.

Our corporate arm allows us to work with private sector companies directly, helping to bridge the gap between the private and public sectors. With the continent predicted to house a quarter of the world’s population by 2050, it is imperative that the emerging economies of today provide the opportunities of tomorrow for our young people. And by implementing more ESG, DEI, and sustainability-focussed practices, businesses can not only have a bigger say in the future of our communities, but also achieve greater economic success.

Of course, 50% of the people in the world are women, and we know that supporting their success is one of the most effective and efficient way to boost economic growth. African Women on Board (AWB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reshaping the future for African women and girls globally, by mainstreaming their voices and fast-tracking their trajectory into the leadership roles of now and the future.
